How We Handle Your Application Data

When you apply for a position with Jump Start English Native Speakers, we process the personal data you submit in order to assess your suitability for the role and to carry out the application process.

What Data We Collect

As part of your application, we collect and process the following categories of personal data:

• Contact details (name, address, phone number, email address)
• Application documents (CV, cover letter, certificates, qualifications)
• Information about your qualifications, work experience and education
• Any other information you voluntarily provide as part of your application

Why We Collect Your Data

We process your application data solely for the purpose of carrying out the recruitment process and assessing your suitability for the advertised position or other open roles within our organisation.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) in conjunction with the applicable Austrian employment law provisions.

How Long We Keep Your Data

If your application is unsuccessful, your data will be deleted after the conclusion of the recruitment process, and no later than 7 months after you are notified of the outcome. This retention period allows us to respond to any legal claims that may arise under the Austrian Equal Treatment Act (GlBG).

If your application is successful and you are hired, your application data will be transferred to your personnel file for the purposes of the employment relationship.

Who Has Access to Your Data

Your application data is shared only with those members of our team who are directly involved in the recruitment process. We do not pass your data on to third parties outside our organisation unless we are legally required to do so.

Applicant Pool

In the event that your application is unsuccessful, we may offer to retain your data in our applicant pool for future opportunities. This will only be done with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and your data will be stored for a maximum of 12 months. You may withdraw your consent at any time, after which your data will be deleted from our applicant pool.

How Long Does It Take to Hear Back?

We review all applications carefully and aim to respond to all candidates within 10 working days. Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are only able to contact shortlisted candidates. If you have not heard from us within 10 working days, your application has unfortunately not been successful on this occasion. However, we keep all applications on file and will contact you if a suitable position becomes available. We encourage you to apply again in the future.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data at any time:

• The right to access your stored personal data free of charge
• The right to request correction or deletion of your data
• The right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time
• The right to request restriction of processing
• The right to data portability
• The right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde) at https://www.dsb.gv.at/

Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. Your data is transmitted to us via SSL encrypted connection.
